Well it’s that time of year again! I’m sipping hot chocolate, listening to Christmas music and watching the snow swirl about outside. We’ve put up the Christmas lights, decorated the tree and hung the stockings. We are in full Christmas spirit around here! So I thought today’s the perfect time to share my DIY glass Christmas ornaments with you.
I love browsing all of the beautiful Christmas decorations at stores like Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel each year. But they can be quite pricey! So I get my fix and use it as inspiration.
This year I started with clear glass ornaments (I get mine here), which are so fun because you can do so much with them, from rustic and charming to sparkly and pretty! I continued with the rustic, natural look I’ve been loving all year.
DIY Snowball Ornament
I used a white acrylic paint to create this ornament. I used a small, rough paint brush in order to give it a textured look. I finished it off by wrapping the top in twine and holding it in place with hot glue.
DIY Twine & Snow Ornament
For this ornament I simply cut a piece of twine and strung it into the ball, I finished by adding some faux snow.
DIY Feather Ornament
I added two white feathers inside this ornament and that’s it, you’re done!
DIY Twine Ornament
This one is easy too, just add a piece of twine inside and you get this rustic looking ornament.
