Just popping in quickly today with a little inspiration for our master bedroom.
In the process of setting up Baby G’s nursery I stole a few items from our bedroom, which left it looking a little bare. So I decided now would be the perfect time to give our bedroom a mini update.
It has been one of the more neglected rooms in our home. I’m always moving it down on the priority list, after all we are the only ones that really use it. We usually invest our time and money into the main rooms of the house, like the kitchen and living room. Rooms that everyone gets to enjoy! But I can’t overlook it anymore, it’s time to give our bedroom a little love!
I started thinking about the changes I’d like to make. I want to give it some personality and liven it up a bit. At least for the spring and summer. Once the fall comes around again I’ll probably tone it down with a more neutral colour scheme and natural elements.
My inspiration started with this beautiful fabric from Tonic Living. I want to play with the beautiful greens and blues in the fabric to lighten up our bedroom, with lots of white, cream and grey thrown into the mix.
I’ve been collecting pieces here and there as I find them, now I can’t wait to pull the whole look together!
