If you’re anything like me, you want to spend as much time outside as you can during the summer months. There’s nothing better than spending a day playing under the sun and splashing around in the water. But the summer heat and all of that chlorinated water can wreck havoc on your skin, leaving it dry and peeling (no matter how careful you are).
One of the best ways to keep your skin hydrated and refreshed during the summer is with an exfoliating body scrub. And this homemade body scrub is one of the best I’ve tried.
I wanted to make a scrub that reminded me of the tropics. And what’s more tropical than coconuts and grapefruits? I find the scent of citrus so invigorating. This body scrub is a great way to start your morning, leaving you feeling energized and refreshed. Plus it does wonders for your skin.
I’ve never had softer skin in my life.
You can whip this body scrub up in your kitchen in a matter of minutes. And it’s so inexpensive compared to store-bought scrubs.
- 1 cup coconut oil
- 1/2 cup sugar
- Juice of 1/2 a grapefruit
- Mix together all ingredients and stir until fully combined.
