Earlier this week we shared our Christmas Home Tour with you, and we’re back today with another festive holiday home tour, Seasonal Simplicity. If you caught our home tour you’ll know we shared our kitchen, dining room, living room and bedroom, so you might be wondering what’s left…well we are excited to give you a little glimpse into our daughter’s magical holiday bedroom. It’s soft, sweet and was such a treat to decorate.
We transitioned our daughter from her nursery into her “big girl” bedroom (you can see the reveal here) a few months ago, and I think it’s still my favorite room in our home. There is just something so playful and fresh about this space! Each little detail was chosen with love and the pieces our little one picked out herself just make it even more special.
So when it came time to add a little holiday magic to her bedroom, I wanted to keep it simple just the like rest of our home. I find when I decorate with less, the pieces I do add stand out that much more. So with that in mind, I added only a few sweet touches to help her embrace the magic of Christmas.
And because the rest of our home is shining in silver, rose gold and blue it was fun to switch gears and decorate using soft pastels.
I’ve had this beautiful white felt wreath for years and when I pulled it out of storage this year, I knew it would be perfect in our little one’s bedroom. It has just a touch of sparkle and looks perfect hung above her bed.
I didn’t change her bedding, simply because I love it so much. There are so many cozy layers, from the coverlet and duvet that she’s always snug as a bug during our cold winter nights. But I did add two faux fur white pillows and a playful Noel pillow with gold script. It’s just a sweet holiday touch that we can use from year to year.
A few pink glass Christmas trees add a festive flair.
But my favorite part of her holiday bedroom is this sweet little tree we added. There’s just something magical about having a Christmas tree in your bedroom. There’s nothing better than falling asleep under the soft glow of twinkle lights, am I right?
I wanted her tree to fit into her snowy white bedroom, so I chose not to decorate it. Instead, I added this “faux snow” garland, an idea from my friend, Lucy of Craftberry Bush. It’s such a sweet touch, and it really does look like snow! I topped her tree with one of her adorable bunny dolls to really keep in line with the playful feel of her bedroom. Isn’t it sweet?

So there you have it, a few simple holiday touches helped create this magical holiday bedroom for our little one. I hope you enjoyed it, and I hope you’ll take some time to visit all of the other beautiful holiday homes during this week’s tour!

Where did you get the cute faux fur pillows?

Beautiful shade of pink…what is the cor called? Did you need many coats for it to show through? Does it always look pink or depending on the light look peach? Im looking for a pastel pink and love the color you choose. Thank you for sharing your beautiful ideas!!
Alicia says
Hi Linda, we used Pink Bliss from Benjamin Moore. It’s a beautiful shade of soft pastel pink (it doesn’t read as peach). It took only 2 coats to cover the walls, and we’ve been so happy with it! Thank you for following along!
