Find inspiration for entertaining this fall season with 16 festive fall tablescapes, including a simple fall table setting in traditional autumn colors.
I am so excited for today’s post, and it is one I look forward to each season as I invite my friends to join us in sharing inspiring tablescapes set for the seasons. And my friends did not disappoint, each one of them has created an absolutely stunning table set for easy fall entertaining…
One of the things I love most about fall is the rich warm colors we find in nature. But as much as I love these traditional autumn colors, I rarely bring them into our home. Instead, I decorate like I always do, with neutrals and hints of blue.
I find the combination of white and blue with a bit of natural texture to be so calming, not to mention easy to pull off. Last year I shared our fall home tour (here and here), autumn tablescape and front porch, all of which I decorated with this color palette.

But this year I stepped out of my comfort zone, just a bit!
It all started with these beautiful heirloom pumpkins we picked up a farm on our way into the city. I usually can’t find pumpkins around our area this early, but we’ve been doing quite a bit of traveling lately so I was excited to find these on one of our trips.
I love the organic shape of heirloom pumpkins, but most of all I absolutely love the color of these ones. Instead of bright orange, they are a muted coppery tone. It’s the perfect way to bring in a bit of traditional fall color without it being too intense.
So these two little pumpkins were the start of my inspiration for our fall tablescape this year.

Next, I stopped at my favorite floral shop to pick up a few pretty flowers to make a centerpiece. I decided on a combination of spider mums in burnt orange and white, pale orange wax flowers, peach carnations, dusty pink roses, and feather eucalyptus. I always have so much fun visiting this shop and always leave with the most beautiful flowers and helpful tips.
I started this tablescape just as I do with every table I set, with a simple white runner down the center. I like using a runner because I find it helps to keep everything feeling anchored and in place.
I placed my flower arrangement in the center and balanced it with two medium-sized heirloom pumpkins on either side. Next, I scattered six mini white pumpkins along the length of the table as well. I also added a few small votives in pink mercury glass for a little bit of ambiance. I just feel like every table setting should have candles, don’t you? 🙂
My place settings are simple, I used our every day white beaded dishes (I get so many questions about these dishes, if you’re interested you can find them here), gold flatware and wine glasses with a white linen napkin. So easy!
I just love setting a pretty table, but I love emphasizing just how easy and inexpensive they can be too. If you’d like to see some of my other tablescapes you can check them out here, I’d love to know if you have a favorite.
Now, be sure to check these beautifully set fall tables from 15 of my friends, I know they will help inspire your autumn entertaining this year!
