Start a new Halloween tradition with a collection of the best Halloween books for kids. Spending time together diving into new favourites is a great way to celebrate Halloween.
I’ve never really been one to go out of my way to celebrate Halloween, but our girls seem to love this holiday more and more as they grow. This year, I felt it was important to find a few more ways to enjoy the holiday together as a family, which lead me to pick up a few more Halloween books to add to our collection.
I know I’ve mentioned it before, but we love reading, especially with our girls. It’s such a great way to connect and spend a few quiet moments together, and reading aloud to our girls has always been part of our bedtime routine every single day. So it just seemed to make sense to incorporate a few spooky but sweet books into the mix to help build the excitement leading up to Halloween.
Unlike our Christmas book collection, our Halloween assortment is not yet very established. But that’s ok, choosing new books to add to our collection each season is part of the fun. I love surprising the girls with a couple of new books each holiday, but I also love bringing them along to the store so they can choose their own. Either way, our collection is growing and we get to spend a bit of quality time together.
Now, I can’t think of a better way to have a little bit of Halloween fun than to whip up a batch of our White Chocolate Halloween Monster Popcorn and dive into a few of these new favourites. If you’re looking for even more Halloween inspiration, set aside some time to make a few of these Lace Wrapped Mummy Pumpkins or host a small Halloween party with a few close friends.
