I love adding seasonal art to our home throughout the year, in fact, it’s one of my favourite ways to decorate for the seasons. I really prefer subtle seasonal decor, and a simple new piece of art to reflect the current season is such an easy and beautiful way to do so. It’s a great way to introduce a little bit of personality and character into your space.

There are two options when it comes to vintage art, the real deal and inexpensive prints. Authentic vintage paintings don’t necessarily have to be expensive, I always keep an eye out at antique shops and second-hand stores for affordable pieces to add to our collection. But I also rely on vintage art prints that I can easily and inexpensively download and print within minutes. They are a great alternative if you need a new piece of art quickly or on a budget.

Generally, I print our art at home using thick cardstock to give it more of a professional look and feel. However, if printing at home isn’t an option, try a local big box store or an online print shop. And don’t forget to find a beautiful frame to display your art in, I like to use simple wood frames (here) or decorative aged brass for a more authentic look (here).

I usually add our seasonal art prints in our powder room and our kitchen. It’s an easy swap and a simple way to add a bit of seasonal decor to two rooms that may otherwise not feel quite as festive.
