Easter has always been one of my favourite holidays to celebrate. It’s just such a sweet time filled with pastel hues, floral prints, and of course, adorable bunnies. It’s all of these things that make Easter gift-giving extra sweet.
We keep Easter gifts fairly simple and fill our girls’ baskets with a few fun and beautiful gifts that will last through the spring and summer months. To keep their gifts fun and practical I tend to stick to the same basics every year.
I choose a couple of toys or activities they can do outdoors once the weather warms up, like skipping ropes, sidewalk chalk, and pool accessories. Two years ago we gave each of our girls a scooter, which was a more costly gift, but a total hit! These types of gifts always get them excited for the warm days ahead.
Next, I like to add at least one type of clothing, either a beautiful Easter dress, a playful bathing suit, or cuddly new pajamas. It’s a great way to start stocking their closets for spring. A new pair of shoes and a fun accessory, like sunglasses, are always a great idea too.
I love to gift books to our girls to add to their growing collection as often as I can, so I always add a beautifully illustrated book or classic story to their baskets too. It’s a great way to encourage kids’ love of reading while spending time together. Another gift I like to include that encourages time together is puzzles or board games.
Finally, a sweet new stuffie gives them someone new to love and cuddle.
1. Stuffed Bunnies – These stuffed bunnies are just the sweetest. We started our Maileg collection last year after Nick built the girls an adorable dollhouse. They are such amazing quality, not to mention absolutely adorable.
2. Shoes – I buy these shoes for our girls every spring. They are lightweight, odor-resistant, and come in so many playful colours! They’re our go-to shoes for the spring and summer months.
3. Floatie – How adorable is this floatie? I’m ordering a few right now to use at our cottage this summer!
4. Chapter Book – I’ve bought Zoe two books from this collection so far and I’m looking forward to adding more. They are such classic stories with beautifully illustrated covers and make the perfect gift for any book lover.
5. Puzzle – This winter our family has spent a lot of time together playing board games and doing puzzles. It’s such a great way to encourage family time and start a new weekly tradition.
6. Bathing Suit – This floral bathing suit is too cute, I will be ordering one for each of my girls, I only wish it came in my size too!
7. Sidewalk Chalk – Colourful sidewalk chalk is an Easter staple in our house, it’s such an inexpensive gift that provides hours of outdoor fun.
8. Skipping Rope – Another inexpensive gift I love to give at Easter. I find any outdoor toys or activities are a simple and easy gift to give this time of the year.
9. Scooter – We gifted our girls scooters two years ago for Easter and they are still a hit! I just wish I had come across this cream-coloured option with the wicker basket at the time. I mean, it’s just too cute!
10. Story Book – I’m a sucker for classics with beautiful illustrations, and this picture book checks both of those boxes.
11. Swim Shorts – The bright colours and playful stripes make these swim trunks so fun. There is also a coordinating bikini if you like your little ones to match.
12. Sunglasses – I love the retro vibe of these flower-shaped sunglasses. They come in a pack of two and there are nine different colour combos to choose from.
I hope our gift guide gave you some new and fun ideas to gift to your little ones this Easter!
