Can I let you in on a little secret?
I have a bit of an obsession with collecting interior design coffee table books. I love that they are not only practical, the best way to start a lazy Saturday morning is with my latest book and a cup of coffee, but they also make beautiful decor.
My favourite way to style these beautiful interior design coffee table books is to stack two or three on a coffee table, sideboard, or dresser. They look best if you add a piece of organic decor on top, like a wood link, marble pedestal bowl, or a potted plant.
They are a great way to add personality and created a layered and collected look in any space. I’ve rounded up a few of my favourites here…
1. Live Beautiful – This book is full of beautiful interiors and actionable inspiration to help you design your perfect home.
2. AD – This one is a large and beautiful book for displaying, from its simple and neutral cover to its endless supply of past and present design inspiration.
3. Establishing Home – This is a great read by Jean Stoffer, it’s definitely more than just pretty spaces, it tells the story of how she got her start in the design world.
4. The Interior Design Handbook – Full of practical design advice and helpful illustrations, this book covers everything from the best height for hanging lights to the optimal rug size for your space.
5. Made for Living – I can’t wait for the release of Amber Lewis’ new book this fall, but in the meantime, this one is a must-have for all design enthusiasts.
6. Pacific Natural at Home – This beautiful book from Jenni Kayne is filled to the brim with inspiration on everything from setting a beautiful table to creating special moments with family.
7. At Home – If you’re looking for advice and inspiration for creating both a practical and a beautiful home, this book is for you.
8. Down to Earth – Lauren Liess’ book features how she incorporates design principles in six different (and stunning!) homes.
9. The Nature of Home – This book is all about how to create a “forever” home with natural materials that will stand the test of time.
