Over the years we’ve purchased a lot of rugs for our home and more recently our cottage, and I always seem to return to Loloi, and understandably so. Loloi is a tried and true favourite among homeowners and designers alike, as they offer the perfect combination of high-end well-designed rugs at an affordable price.
They’ve also created collaborations with some of today’s most popular designers, like Amber Lewis, Chris Loves Julia and Jean Stoffer, producing beautiful rugs in a variety of styles, colours and patterns. I love being able to incorporate pieces from designers I am influenced by into our own home!
While I can appreciate the beauty in all styles, I tend to gravitate towards Loloi rugs that evoke a sense of old-world design. These rugs appear time-worn and well-loved in moody neutral hues, creating the sense that they are true heirlooms.
These are a few of my favourites…
Wynter Collection
We purchased this Loloi rug for our living room a few years ago, and my appreciation for it has only grown over time. I chose it for its timeless pattern and beautiful mix of charcoal, navy and beige hues. Its textured, time-worn appearance not only lends it the charm of a beautiful antique rug but also ensures it’s durable making it the perfect choice for high-traffic areas.
Billie Collection
The Amber Lewis x Loloi collaborations have consistently produced some of my favourite rugs. This specific rug stands out with its deeply saturated colours and distressed pattern that evokes the charm of a unique antique rug. Its combination of dark navy and warm rust hues not only enhances the character of our white kitchen but also blends so well with the tones of our dark wood floors.
Additionally, its low pile also made it the perfect choice for our kitchen as spills and crumbs are easy to clean while stubborn stains remain inconspicuous.
Skye Collection
While transitioning our youngest daughter from her nursery to a big girl room we layered this beautiful rug on top of her carpet to add colour and whimsy to her space. I know some people are hesitant about rugs over carpets, but I personally think it’s a great option for bedrooms as long as the carpet is a low pile, like Berber.
Its Persian-inspired pattern is reminiscent of old-world design, while its soft colours of pink and gray are a playful touch for a child’s room. Like all Loloi rugs, its durable construction ensures it can withstand the everyday wear and tear of an active child, making it a practical and long-lasting choice.
Hathaway Collection
We incorporated this beautiful rug into our newly renovated cottage kitchen. Personally, I think runners are the perfect way to add warmth to kitchens, creating a sense of comfort while adding colour and pattern.
This particular rug offers a timeless motif in hues of blue and beige, capturing the essence of a one-of-a-kind rug perfect for our charming cottage.
Morgan Collection
Another Amber Lewis x Loloi collaboration, this collection might just be my absolute favourite. With the feel of a faded antique rug, this piece feels like a true heirloom. Its blend of soft beige, rich brown and deep navy hues made this rug the perfect choice for our cottage living room, as it effortlessly mirrors the natural colour palette we enjoy through our windows, creating an inviting space.
But what truly sets this collection apart is its construction. Each rug is power-loomed using CloudPile technology, making these rugs so incredibly soft yet still durable for high-traffic rooms. Every single guest who has visited our cottage this summer has remarked on how beautiful and soft it is, prompting many to purchase it for their own homes. I promise, it’s that good!
Morgan Collection
From the same collection, just a different colour palette, this rug was the perfect choice for the primary bedroom in our cottage. Again, the CloudPile construction means it’s extremely soft and plush underfoot, while the warm gold and rich navy hues add interest and colour to the space.
Alie Collection
Last but not least, is this beautiful rug we added to the cottage bunk room. Its blend of vintage-inspired patterns with a neutral colour palette perfectly complements the charm of our cottage, creating a warm and inviting space. Its muted tones of cream, blue and gray and intricate motifs effortlessly tie the space together creating a sense of coziness and character.
While not constructed using CloudPile technology, it’s still incredibly soft providing comfort and warmth as bare feet hit the floor each morning. It’s also durable and low maintenance, making it a practical choice for any space.
While there are so many beautiful Loloi rugs to choose from, these are seven of my favourites that we’ve used throughout our home and cottage. Do you have a favourite Loloi rug?
