February started with a bang as we enjoyed a family getaway to Mexico with my parents, grandma, and sister. Our days were filled with joy as we splashed in the pool, walked the sun-soaked beach, and savoured homemade chips and guacamole. We even got to celebrate Zoe’s birthday while there (see how we celebrated her past birthdays here), making the experience even more unforgettable!
Upon returning home, we were greeted with another reason to celebrate: our custom closet by Stor-X! Installed just before we took off on our trip, coming home to this organized space made tackling the post-vacation laundry a little more enjoyable. With tailored shelves, drawers, and compartments, our new closet maximizes space and efficiency, while bringing me peace as we have one more space in our home finished. Stay tuned as we will reveal the full closet next week!
As the days grow longer and the temperatures rise, we’ve dedicated time this month to transitioning our home from winter to spring. Simple updates such as incorporating vintage art and spring florals have infused our space with a sense of freshness and warmth in anticipation of the season ahead.
From family adventures to home upgrades, February has been nothing short of magical. As we eagerly anticipate the arrival of spring, we look forward to the projects that lie ahead, including opening our cottage for the season and starting our laundry room renovation!
Globe Pendant – I will forever love these timeless globe pendants that we carefully chose for our kitchen renovation. They are so simple, yet so charming!
Vintage Equestrian Print – An antique equestrian print displayed in a vintage frame instantly infuses any space with character! We incorporated this print into our daughter’s bedroom as a nod to her passion for horseback riding.
Faux Snowball Flowers – Afloral is undoubtedly the top choice for artificial flowers and stems, including these stunning snowball flowers. However, if you’re looking for a more budget-friendly option, I recently ordered a similar alternative. I’ll keep you posted once it arrives.
Scalloped Dish – I have a few of these charming scalloped dishes, I place them on nightstands in our home and cottage as a convenient spot to store jewellery before tucking into bed or enjoying a dip at the cottage.
Bridge Faucet – Last week, I shared a closer look at our bridge faucet, a perfect addition for adding timeless charm to any kitchen. I also provided a roundup of my favourite picks.
Kitchen Towels – I love the classic checkered pattern of these kitchen towels in a green and cream palette. They would make such a delightful and simple addition to freshen up your home for the spring season.
Sconce with Wicker Shade – Another favourite detail in our daughter’s bedroom is these charming brass sconces with wicker shades. They introduce a subtle touch of texture and warmth to her space.
Rattan Footed Bowl – I’ve had this handcrafted rattan bowl in our kitchen for years and I still love its distinctive shape and natural texture that infuse warmth into our kitchen.
Vintage-Inspired Rug – We constantly receive questions about the rug in our living room, its vintage-inspired pattern and warm neutral colour palette make it an all-time favourite. I recently shared the other Loloi rugs we have in our home and a few of my favourites.
Linen Duvet Cover – We own this linen duvet and I can’t get over its dreamy colour and texture. It’s incredibly soft and only improves with each wash, it also comes in eight other colours.
